This includes the incredible Alchemy synths which bring a whole new dimension to expressive and easy to use synthesisers. GarageBand has a library of amazing instrument sounds lovingly curated, developed and evolved by the team at Apple over many years. It just works! This now means your Skoog app will send MIDI out to receptive apps and the sounds in the Skoog app will not be triggered. In the Skoog App simply got to the MIDI settings menu (MIDI icon in middle of the menus at the top of the screen) and turn MIDI on and Audio off. Now select ‘Advanced’ and then turn on ‘Use with Music Apps’ and ‘Run in Background’. If you ran into the same problem I hope you can get your hands on Gband 6’s Apple Loop files.GarageBand is one of the world’s favourite apps for music creation. – All the old loops appeared in the loop browser – Opened the Loop browser, clicked on the options arrow next Loop at the top of the browser, selected Reindex All Loops – Once the paste was complete I opened Garageband I chose Replace and clicked the Apply To All option – You’ll get a dialog box asking about keeping both or replacing. – with Garageband closed, using the same method as above, I made my way to the Apple Loops for Garageband folder – popped the thumb drive into my new MacBook Pro – copied all the individual files inside that folder (i deliberately did not copy the folder itself) to a thumb drive – went to the Apple Loops folder and dug down to the Apple Loops for Garageband folder – used Go To Folder and typed /library/audio – I clicked on the Finder icon in the dock, I am lucky enough to have an older MacBook (with Garageband 6 on it) lying around. I won’t go into everything else I tried with no success, but this worked. Upgraded to Mavericks or Yosemite and suddenly found many of my old Garageband loops had vanished. ![]() ![]() I hope the following is helpful to some of your readers.
